Visit ranchbook.io/login and click "Create an account." Enter your email and a password (min 6 characters). You can also sign in with Google.

After logging in, you'll see the "Your Ranches" screen. Type a ranch name and tap "Create Ranch." You'll automatically be set as the Manager.

Yes! Create as many ranches as you need. Each ranch is billed separately and has its own team, cows, and pastures.

From the herd list, tap the gold + button. Add tags first (ear tag, RFID, brand), then set status, pasture, breed, and any other details. Tags are how you identify cows — not names.

Go to the 👥 Team screen from your herd list. Enter their email and choose a role: Read & Write (can edit records) or Read Only (can view and export). They'll get an email invitation with a direct link.

Manager — Full access. Can add/edit cows, manage the team, handle billing, and delete the ranch.
Read & Write — Can view, add, and edit cow records and pastures.
Read Only — Can view and export data, but can't make changes.

Yes. Any manager can promote a team member to Manager from the Team screen.

Yes! The free plan supports up to 10 cows per ranch with all features included. No credit card required.

You'll see a message suggesting which plan fits your herd size. Upgrade anytime from the ⚙️ Settings button on your herd list.

Your data is never deleted. If your subscription lapses, your ranch goes into read-only mode — you can still view and export everything. You can always resubscribe to restore full access.

Go to ⚙️ Settings from your herd list (managers only). You can change plans, update payment info, or cancel from there.

Yes — save 15% by switching to annual billing on any paid plan.

Yes. Tap the 📊 button on your herd list to export all your cattle records as an Excel spreadsheet. You can email it or share it directly.

When editing a cow, you can set a "Mother Tag" — enter the tag number of the mother. RanchBook automatically links them. You can tap through to see the mother's record or view all calves from any cow.

Ear tags, RFID tags, and brands. Each cow can have multiple tags. Tag numbers must be unique within a ranch.

We're building offline support for areas with poor cell signal. Currently, an internet connection is needed to sync data. Stay tuned!

On the login screen, tap "Forgot password?" Enter your email, and we'll send a reset link. This works for both email/password and Google accounts.

Yes. All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and stored with row-level security policies — you can only access data for ranches you belong to. We never sell your data.

Managers can delete a ranch from the ranch selection screen. You'll need to type the exact ranch name to confirm. This permanently deletes all data for that ranch.
